Absinthe is widely known as a drink that gained its notoriety in the nineteenth century. It became a drink of choice among bohemian intellectuals, writers, poets, and artists in France and across other parts of Europe. The drink is also known for having "strange powers" which, in some way, countered the effects of alcohol, and brought the mind to a strange state of alertness and enhanced sensory perception. So, what does this have to do with Indie Rock..?
The title Absynth was created after developing a sound that was ever-changing, but electronic overall, using synthesizers and other electronic instruments. This is music that experiments in sound and varies widely in lyrical subject matter. This project is influenced by artists ranging from The Cure, the 1975, Björk, David Bowie, and many others.
My Soundcloud usually consists of covers and some original music now and then.
